113 280SL Shift Modulator Gasket Replacement

I have removed the shift modulator control pressure regulator on the right side of the transmission(where you adjust the shift points). It sits on a black plastic base and the gasket goes between the plastic and trans housing. The plastic peice is loose but how does it come off so I can replace the gasket? What holds it in place ?
Thanks,
Steve

The linkage from the double lifting solenoid will keep the shaft engaged unless the link is removed allowing the shaft to pivot the pin out of it.

The plunger that the diaphram affects is affected even more by that solenoid and the lever that attaches to it should rotate out if the linkage is free.
