300td transmission

I need some help I just finished an engine swap and drove the car ( lessthan quarter mile). The car shifted sluggishly but smooth I parked the car to check for vaccum leak and poor idle . Found a fuel leak at 2 injectors and one balance line repaired ,idled smoothed out. Tranny fluid a pint low added fluid and connected a detacted vaccum line(green) Went to take for another drive, car would not go into gear. I can move selector and see it move the rod on the transmission. Is tranny bad? or have I connected something wrong .
