2000 S Class Service Bulletin #
Can anybody help me by tracking down the reference # for the service bulletin issued to upgrade weak a/c units in the early production 2000 S class?
My dealer can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance. |

The "list" that I have isn't really a bulletin but lists all of the change made. Give me a fax number & you will get a copy.

Thanks. My fax # is 813-963-7147.
Would this list likely include the a/c upgrade? |

MB Doc, thanks for the fax. It looks like maybe it didn't make the status of a service bulletin, as it applies only if customer complains vigorously.
Can you tell me the source of the "list"? Was it WIS or something, in case my dealer still can't find it. Thanks |

There are MANY sources of secret info that MB gives to their dealers. THIS list was for dealers to UP-DATE W220 chassis cars with "POOR" output A/C systems here in the south. Many dealers don't take the time to go thru all of that type of info!!!
Please black-out my fax info if you are sharing that info with your dealer!

M.B. Doc, I took my car in today to get the a/c upgrade. They already had the notice you provided me. They checked out the a/c, found a fault code on air suction or something (said it was set for a deisel engine, not the 500) and they lowered some setting 2 degrees.
They are saying it is much better. The cool weather didn't help my cause any. They said they cannot find a correwsponding a/c bulletin that will authorize them to do the upgrade. Could you please help me again to enlighten these folks? Can you please tell me specifically where they would find this info sheet. They act like they think it might not even be from MB?!!!!? This should set them on the right path. Please feel free to e mail me if you wish at rsgathman@aol.com Thanks again for your help. |
