Does anyone know where the purge valve is located on a 1996 c220........I have been hearing a clicking noise.....which is not related to the engine's RPM or tire rotation....and I have had the car diagnosed and the code P0441 came up and that is related to the Emission control system...and specifically to the purge valve..or the line leading to it.......so I am thinking that this clicking noise might be from it.....since the "check engine light" points me in that direction too....

So if anyone has any thoughts on this please let me know?
And please also tell me where the purge valve is and is it hard to clean it or change it on my own..?

l/h inner fender, black valve, 2 hoses, 1 electrical connector, has "mot" stamped on top. Refered to in MB fiche as a "regeneration valve". Its more or less infront of the ABS pump close to the rail.
