Reminds me of a friend who used to be an "exporter" of MB cars to Taiwan, he bought so many cars that MBZ found out about his operation and shut him down.

Thank you for your info. Actually, I am not sure the SEL is euro or us spec. The owner said it's from the authorized "Mercdes Benz of Taiwan", then I assume it's directly from Germany. Well, I know that US spec has speed limit, but I don't really drive that fast, so I think US version is ok for me. |

Here's an idea - check the VINs of those cars at carfax.com. The VIN is the 17-character string visible on the driver side windshield pillar. It'll be something like WDBCA39... for the SEL. There's a cost to checking so maybe someone on the forum with an open account can offer to help you. It won't tell you anything about the history of a car outside the US, but if carfax has any record of those cars then they were originally sold/registered in the US. A report might even validate the odometer readings. And what if they're reported as stolen in the US? I hope I'm not scaring you

I am still single. So..... ![]() I also think that SEC will be a "eyeball" catcher on the street or highway. |

Do you have a source for Depo brand replacement Euro spec headlights for these cars? See - http://www.depoautolamp.com/index.htm

I think I knew someone from other car forum in Taiwan who's working for a "replacement light" company. Maybe it's the same one. I got to ask him. ![]()
