Can't find 123 blue light thread

Just about everyone with a 123 incluging me has been plagued with dim dash lights. A couple of months ago someone replaced his dash lights with some neat bluish lights that were much brighter and even included a picture of his dash that was taken at night. I was very impressed and wanted to learn what he did, but I lost the thread. I have done a search using words like 123 dash lights, LED. halogen, etc, but my efforts have been fruitless. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Peter

I remember the thread, too, and the pics.

I tried to search for you, but couldn't find it.

I'm sure, though, that it was Peyton300td.

Blue Bulbs

hello

i think what you're looking for is a # 195 bayonette type. that's generally the dash lites. look for XENON. they produce a much whiter light. put them in my dome lite and it was like day and nite (no pun intended) also i'll use them for my daytime lites.

i know autozone has them and i've seen them on ebay.

good luck

Peyton300td didn't use xenon bulbs, though.

They were blue LED lights.

I do recall that he bought them at autolumination.com

bjcsc,
thanks for the input, but that is not the thread. The thread in question distintly shows a 123 dash. I do appreciate your effort though. Thanks again.

Paul,
You may be right about peyton300td. I'll email him privately.

Thanks for your effort,
Peter

bjcsc,

You get the cigar. That is the one. Eric also emailed me privately. I think it looks good. What do you think? All we have to do now is pressure Eric and Russ to go into more detail.

Thanks again,
Peter

Personally, I don't really like it; It's a little too fast and furious for a 123 (for my tastes anyway). However, it may look good with white LED's. For some reason, my lights are pretty bright, and I do dim them at night. It looks like the blue is darker than stock. I'm a big "keep it original" kind of guy, though; I pretty much don't like any mods so I am probably the worst person to ask. Ask DR. ///AMG what he thinks about it. He seems to like that kind of stuff and can probably give you a more valuable opinion from the "inside"...thanks for asking though...

bjcsc,

I'm with you on keeping things stock especially the wheels. I wouldn't even be doing anything to my instrument cluster if I could see it. Count yourself in a very very small group of 123 owners that avtually dims the dash lights.

Peter
