That is most probably the correct answer. Below is the picture of my car's air flow meter (potentiometer). You can see that the contact surface is sratched.
The part number for my car's potentiometer is 3 437 224 031. I need to find a new part number to replace it since there is no mention of this part number anywhere on the web. Can I put one from 300E ? What type of potentiometer do other 2.3l 8v (102982) engine owners have and if someone have replaced the airflow meter housing what is the new part number on the potentiometer? Hurshi
