Replacement vacuum line (M119)

After dealing with one crumbling vac. line last week, I decided it was time to "refresh" hoses on my 95 E420. Still suffering from a variant idle and other symptoms of a vac leak, so there is a practical side to this exercise. Found a local import shop with a spool of decent braided hose in stock. Silicone may be an ideal material, but I cannot seem to find any of sufficient thickness to comfortably withstand high compartment temperatures.

Anyhow, I am looking for advice from forum readers on hoses that can (should) be checked and replaced as needed using standard line. Right now, I have a length of 3.5mm id for the intake manifold/lower block/fpr ports, a few y-connectors, and clamps on the shopping list. Anything else?

Also, does anyone know if the online WIS (startekinfo) has a useful vac schematic for this engine (119.975)?

Thanks in advance!
