Yes, it is a common simple cure.

If it doesn't bother you then don't worry about it. It won't hurt anything.

It's obvious that you have let your teflon sour and it has caused your aluminum to get out of phase with your steel and plutonium.

Next time pay attention to those recommended maintenance intervals.

And always....rebuild your transmission early and often.

On a 1993 190 does the tranny have to be dropped to adjust that modulater? How can it be reached? Thanks in advance. The care ride would be more enjoyable if it was fixed.

it takes a little finesse to do the 201 cars, but the hard part is getting the cap back on.

I use a long thin screw driver to pop the cap and then use the screwdriver to get the lever out of the slots and then turn it by pushing on one side of the lever with the screwdriver.

If it has the later plastic cap its just harder.

Then with the screw driver you are able to get the cap back on? Can you explain how much you trun the deal and in what direction. Mine shifts hard only on the first shift.

I would probably turn the tee handle one turn out (counterclockwise).

Good news bad news on my vaccum modulator.
First I couldnt see it
Then I pulled the hose off by accident and went in to panic mode.
Then I got the hose back on in the dark with short fingers (Miracle)

Good news is I adjusted my vaccum modulator 2 clicks counter clockwise and its a huge improvement. Almost like a new car. Nobody would notice a problem

Bad news that I need advice on.
1) The cap on the modulator disappeared when I took it off. Do I need to buy a replacement? Where do they sell them? How urgent is it?

2)The t adjustment fell out. The car drives fine with it out but if I get a new cap I will put it back in.

3) In order to get to the modulator I had to disconnect some electronic wire harness clipp. The clip is fine but it had a rubber gasket that broke apart. Do I need to replace the rubber gasket? How important is it?

Thanks in advance you guys are great!
