Question right driver door different closing sound

Euro 1994 C180 RHD driver's door closes with a louder metallic clunking sound than the other 3 doors which seem to have that characteristic thump of Benz doors? The vertical door edge on the side seems to be a bit out compared with the others. Could this be some previous repair work not refitted properly or what? All the fittings are ok, rubbers on the door no problems and felt covered rubber strips on the body frame also ok. I guess the sound is coming from the metal catch in the body side clashing with the door's locking mech. Anyone with similar problems and how to overcome this out-of-place sound? Thanks buddies.

Maybe your hinge(s) are getting worn?
After all, the driver's door get's all the abuse.
Worst case scenario you could have a good bodyshop align the door for you.

I would attempt to adjust the latch that is connected to the post (body). Look to see if there are wear marks on problem latch as compared to the latch on another door. Adjust in opposite direction of wear marks.
