Hydraulic lifter part number help please

Hi all,

Well, I have a ticking at start up which stops about 5-30 seconds after start up. I think it must be a leaking down lifter.

My Cd does not give me part numbers (or I don't know where to look) and I want to order a couple of lifters from Phil but I need the part number.

Would anyone know the part number for my lifters and the associated "washers" if not included with the lifter?

1992 300e 2.6.

Also, any tricks to finding the dead lifter, I read the CD which tells me to get the car warmed up and then turn the cam over so the the rocker arm is not on the lobe and then push down on the lifter (hydraulic compensating something or other) and see if the lifter "sinks". Any tricks of the trade?

Thanks,
Joel

The hydraulic element is 103 050 00 80 for intake and exhaust. The washers and ball sockets are measured to fit each particular valve. I have no idea how to determine what thickness washer and ball socket to use.

I try to not make people's work more difficult but in this case I'd give Phil the VIN and let him determine what parts you need.

Thank you sixto

I appreciate the note and number.

Left Phil a message, I'll talk to him today.

Again,
Thanks
