Is the voltage regulator and brush assembly replaceable in a 1986 300SDL? My ABS light
came on today just as my AC quit. I believe this indicates charging voltage less than 10volts. I was out of town and although the ABS light came on and off (mostly off) during the return trip, I pretty much drove the last few miles home without any headlights. With 340k miles... the entire alternator could be shot... but it's sure acting like a voltage regulator.
