engine cutting off when slowing to stop

When I am coming to a stop sometimes my engine will shut off then crank up as if nothing happened. Almost seems like a vaccum problem. There is a little hose coming off the valve cover breather hose that I cannot find where it connects. Could this be the problem. Otherwise car runs great.

there is a speed sensor in the back of the cluster. don't exactly know it's function, but ihas been known to get loose and cause stalling will stopping. 1 pin, behind the speedo amd 1 screw. pull the speedo cable of the trans before pulling the cluster, the cable is too short. good luck, chuck.

Clean the idle control valve and replace the hoses on it.

My 190e did the same thing until I removed the Idle Air Control Valve and cleaned it with brake cleaner, has not happened since.

My car used to die when coming to stop or slowing down to take a corner.

I swapped out the OVP and fuel pump relay and solved the issue.

If there is no check engine light, it's more likely the fuel pump relay.

My $0.02.

Cheers.

I'm with psfred on this one. A couple years ago he recommended the same medicine for my car - it worked and no stalling since then.
Good Luck
