13mm allen key or socket?

The differential on my 1997 E420 (ASR) has a 13 mm (not 14 - don't know why) allen drain plug.
I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Where should I go?
Snapon and Sears are out.

Should be 14 ... did you clean it out well ???

If it is a 13, you can try a 1/2 " allen...
13mm=.512"

It is possible that the original was damaged when removed at one time and replaced with the 13 .. or, it may even have been replaced with a 1/2" allen and you think it is a 13..
Either way,....Try a 1/2" allen.... if it is 1/2" , it will fit perfect, or if it is a 13 , the fit should be tight enough to do the job...

My local Sears carries the 13mm allen head. They don't carry the 14mm carried in a set by Auto Zone as mentioned above.

Are you sure Sears does?
I thought it was only 10mm or 17 mm.
I'd better talk to someone next time if you saw it.

The Sears in my area carries allen head sizes thru 13mm. They do not carry the 14mm or 17mm. Auto Zone carries those in a set.

True Value Hardware had a surprisingly great selection of allen wrenches when I was looking for a 14mm. (my local Sears did not have any)

It may be worth a look.
