What should a dealer charge to diagnousan EGR

What should a Dealer charge to diagnous a bad EGR and MAP sensor on a 97 E300D ?

I haven't experienced a shop accepting a vehicle for 'diagnosis only'. Far as I know, the only standardized rates are for a repair - which includes the diagnosis. Since diagnosis is often the better part of time spent on a repair, you might expect a healthy charge if you elected NOT to have the parts replaced, at the shop's discretion. IMHO.

$ 175 per hr for this. The best part is for this price they should be expert enough to get it right the first time (and that s not the case for me).
