Metal to metal clunking sound.
Hello again everyone...
I have had this problem all the time with this car since we got it... (16,000miles) I just thought about it today to get other people's opinion. (W124 1989 300E) @ 186,800 Whenever I am moving at any speed above 10 MPH, if I suddenly let go of the accelerator, I hear this plate to plate clunk sound, it does not sound loud and annoying, it is just like when two thick ceramic plates tap each other, at least thats how I can describe it. Soon, I plan to have the engine mounts replaced. So maybe this will cure that problem and restore the silkyness to the ride! ![]() THANKS IN ADVANCE! |
