Self-Leveling Suspension Riding Hard

Hi,

My 1995 wagon self-leveling suspension rides really hard. I am perplexed.

1. I just replaced the nitrogen cells and there is only a minor difference.

2. The cell on the passenger side was initially leaking very slightly at the banjo. I tightened and now it appears to be only moist (so is leaking but barely).

Any ideas on what else could be wrong. Shocks lift and raise car fine with movement of level controller arm. Yet car's back end just seems underdamped, especially when traversing bumpy road. Could it be a shock. No sign of external leaks.

Thanks and regards
farrukh
