Intermittent Climate Control

Hello all,
I have recently had a problem with my climate control, mainly the fan speed selector. If I shut my car off with the climate control on then the next time I restart it the fan speed control no longer turns the fan on. Warm air will still blow through the vents but the fan can not be adjusted. I was suggested that it may be a realy but I've not found anything wrong otherwise.

Any suggestions?

Check the CC fuse in the fusebox -- they get corroded and work intermittantly. Ditto for the fan fuse (it's separate, I believe, 25A). That is just about the limit for a fuse there, and if it is a plastic one, it will melt and only contact part of the time. Replace any plastic fuses with ceramic ones.

There is also a fuse inside the CC on the 190 -- it can also be intermittant. If there is no power to the CC, it will default to defrost and full heat....

Just got finished switching out the blower speed selector with a new one I got from potomac german auto (http://www.pgauto.com). Worked like a charm! Thanks for the suggestions though, I checked out all the fuses first.
