Unhappy Volt Lite

Help guys, I have a 1996 S320, a couple of problems, First my volt lite is on at dash, intermittantly, when pressing brake pedal, lite will go out momentarily. secon, my Econo air button is stuck in its position, cannot change climate control to any other setting, and lastly, intermittanly my oil lite will come on, I am useing top grady synthetic oil and the oil level in never low....thanks

Not familiar with diagnosis on your particular model, but did these symptoms occur simultaneously, or are these unrelated issues that cropped up at different times?

I would check fuses first if these are related problems...

Otherwise, what does the volt lite symbol indicator look like? Sounds more like the brake pad sensor to me.

Also, a bad oil level sender can give false readings, but more specifically, the connector to the sender degrades over time.

No clue on the A/C controls...I'm a total moron when it comes to climate control systems...

No...Volt lite is in the shape of a battery, - and + sign and stays lite. NO the volt lite came on today, the ac problem as been going on for a while...

Lightbulb "volt" light

Start looking at your "charging" + "storage (battery) system .
non specfic info for testing alternater/battery systems at
www.fluke.com/us.asp
If you have basic knowledge of auto electrics.

1. start simple: belt(s) 2. electrical connections. [does the Battery need DISTILLED water? Safety
first , EYE protection and rubber gloves...battery acid will destroy:clothes,paint...you name it!] 3. Voltage from
