idle setting on 16vlv

Hi all,
i was readnig through the merc cd, and it describes the adjustment of the idle air control valve "dwell angle", has anyone dont this before???

LOL, it driving me crazy, the cd talks about a connector, not sure if it means the X11 one, ive not got my cd at work so i cant get a page reference at the mo,
