OK what is cable 124 540 7409??

In the process of removing badly installed cell phone and alarm siren I've got access to the brake switch. This is the 4 pin switch. There are two connectors on the switch, and I believe everything works correctly (but I havent been driving the car yet and havent checked out the snow chain switch). The above part number is on a wiring harness and it is close to a connector that looks identical to one of the connectors on the break switch and is not hooked to anything (and this is hanging right next to the brake switch)???

Car is 92 400E with ASR

Can someone check the part number which amy give a clue to what this is - or tell me what this connector is for?
