Coverlay Dash Covers - Do They Rattle Or Squeak?

I am considering a Coverlay to restore the dash on my 380SL. Do these covers rattle, squeak or otherwise make noise after they are installed?

Thank you.

This is a really good question. May I add to this thread (without answering the question)!?

Perhaps we could get a post going with pics of what these look like installed on various models, and in various colors? I too am trying to decide whether I want one or not, but had not thought about noise issues, only looks-

Thanks,

JAS

Never heard one rattle or squeak, especially when you use more than the adhesive they provide for the mounting. One thing you do want to watch is when you're dry fitting or installing the overlay, they are sometimes a very slight "oversize" and need to be lightly sanded at the edges to fit perfectly. When this happens it's not hard to accidentally damage the surface of the A-pillars since the edges of the overlay can be sharp.
