problems with 99 E240

My father har recently experinced some problems wiht his e240.
After that car has been standing for a while it sometimes has no power after startup. Full throttle and the car is not moving. Turning of engine and starting agian and the car is fine.
The automatic is shifting hard at high revs. It seems to take forevere to upshift near redline and when it finally does it engages next gear violently. I also seems that above 4k it accelerates very slowly and it's better to let go of the gas to make i upshift. And is seems to pull better in 4th that 3rd. Also sometimes if you floor it nothing happens and the car accelerates better on half throttle. Need some help. I think it may be some electrical stuff. Or the transimission is about to go.
The car is a 99 E240 with the 2.4 L V6 100.000Kms
