Hi, I have a 1991 300sl and my problem is that when you open the drivers door the interior lights do not go on. When you open the passenger door they do go on. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

thanks Drew

The warning buzzer/relay is behind the passenger air bag.

I have the same symptom in my 1989 300E, and I'm sure it is not caused by a faulty switch on the door pillar -- I have removed the switch and brought the 2 wires together, but the light did not go on. Where should I check next please? Thanks for your advice.

On the 124 the warning buzzer module is located behind the instrument cluster.

I had the same problem on the wife's 560SL. It was the diode in the warning module.

BTW, in the 560SL it also diabled the alarm for the driver's door! It also now works correctly after replacing the diode.
