1995 C280 Door lock removal

My wife was trying to lock the drivers door and she felt resistance and forced the lock. Now the key just turns the lock but nothing happens . I've had the door panel off for the past couple of weeks trying to figure out how to remove the door lock. I've tried to take the door latch assembly out of the door but it only moves about a .25" with all the screws taken out. Obviously there is a trick to getting all this apart. Could some one please shed some light on this.
Thanks,
Roger

Sounds like you have to remove the door panel to do further work. I know I've posted some threads on that before! Try doing a search.

((BTW: To all: I will be doing a report on my M5 driving experiences! It's been a blast!))
