Question front end groan...still there

replaced ball joints (noticed difference). But now noise appears upon breaking (and when resuming speed from a full stop)...pump brakes and get that groan sound when in gear-no sound at all when pumping brakes in neutral. Any help appreciated. Sorry, 87 420sel, 120K.

I have the same problem

I have a '86 300 E and I have the same problem. I had the rotors, calipers, and brake pads replaced and still the freakin' noise. However, it only occurs after it's been warmed up and I start braking to a stop or slowly release the brake to a crawl and a loud groaning sound that only disipates when I pick up the speed. I still haven't found the noise yet and it's frustrating.

Track rod mount, brake support mount also several other names which elude me right now...idler arm bushing is not one of them.

Thanks. The reason I asked is I can't seem to find it in fastlane. I just want to know what it looks like.
