Hole on top of air filter cover...
Hi All,
Ever since I've owned the car I've noticed that there's a hole on top of the air filter cover. It has grommet on it. What is it for? Is it supposed to be plugged? I'm wondering since it lets air into the air mass flow meter by bypassing the filter... thanks,

The hole is there for the 3mm allen to adjust the A/F duty cycle

It leads to the tower between the air flow sensor inlet and the fuel distributor in your pictures from a few days ago.
By design, air can't get into the engine through that hole. There isn't a cover for that hole. Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL |
