My friend has a 2000 W210 and has had a short run on burnt out bulbs.

Ask to see the service history. This will tell you how the previous owner took car of the car.

Other than the harmonic balancer and mass flow meter, my 98 E320 has been trouble free.

Operate all the windows to check the window regulators and sunroof to check for smooth operation.
