How much is too much ATF, 92 300 E

How much is too much ATF, 92 300 E

My ATF reading on the dipstick is about 1/2 inch higher than the top line on the stick. Thats hot, and in drive with the brake on. Is this enough to "froth" the fluid, or give the tranny any "different feel ".
