100000 mi.
My 95 E420 SE just surpassed the 100k mark. Other than the ASR glitch this baby runs just like new and each day that i drive it i become more and more one with the machine. Thanks for the help guys.

Agree. My 94 E420 is about to hit 100k as well. Running great and nothing but great help from the folks here.
I thought you fixed your ASR problem???

Congrats on reaching the break in point. Keep it maintained and that is just the beginning of the miles you will get from this car.
Good luck, |

My 98 C230 is at 159,000 km's. 100K-miles is 161,000km's so I'm a quick trip to Jasper and back from 100K-miles.
It's been a highly reliable car with fewer problems than any other car we've owned. It's build quality is very high. Despite being a daily driver summer and winter (we put boulders on our roads, not sand...) the paint is shiny and looks great when clean. It's not used a single drop of oil, and for the most part feels like it's brand new. 340,000km's until I've got two badges on the grille... (shooting for 250K seems too easy...)

100000 mi.
Thanks again guys most vehicles that ive owned were showing signs of age or giving up the ghost at 100k but as Larry said its only the beginning if its well maintained. Blackmercedes ive some questions to ask you later on about the M119 through a PM. Willy i did get the ASR fixed thru info here on (our) site. I
read where someone said that metal shavings on the wheel speed sensors accumulate over time causing the ASR light to show its hiney. Went in there and it was just as it was talked about cleaned shavings and a few other areas and NO ASR light since. It really does seems that the Benz has even more power than when i first purchased it. Got a lot of preventative maintenance to do but as of now its a beast on the loose. Have a good day men. Jim |

My 89 190e has 189, 500 miles on it. I just got my form to send off for my high mileage badge. The first of 3 that will eventually adorn the grill of my baby.

Ahhh... I spoke too soon. Car started to overheat on the way home today. Got hot enough that I noticed smoke coming from the rear of the engine when I opened the hood.
Initial diagnosis shows that only one of the 2 auxiliary fans are coming on. Would that cause vehicle to overheat???? Might be better for another thread.

Do you know you can request a special grill badge from Mercedes-Benz?
At least in Germany and most countries in the world M-B dealers recognize 250,000/500,000/1,000,000 Kms. marks and sends you a conmemorative bagde.
