coolant/engine/water temp sensor questions
Hi All,
Can someone briefly explain what each of these sensors do and where they're at. My aux fan is running on 'HIGH' at all times and need to find the cause. One more thing, where is the RESISTOR that supposedly causes the aux fan to run on 'LOW' until one of these sensors is tripped. thanks,

coolant sensor
Please disregard the coolant "temp" sensor... it's a "level" sensor...

Do a search on "sensor" in fastlane for your vehicle. You'll see pictures of most all of the sensors in your vehicle.

sensor
thanks,
I made a mistake in including the coolant 'temp' sensor in my orig post which was actually a 'level' sensor... hence my reply. The CTS you're referring to is called "Engine temp sensor" in fastlane. There is also a "water temp sensor" in Fastlane which has only one 2-wire connector. Do you know what that's for? thanks,
