I am leaking approx. 4 Qt's. every 500 mi. I have traced the leak to the rear passenger side of the head. The driveway is a mess!

Oil pressure is 100% No oil seen to be burned.

How long can I put off replacing the head gasket?

Seems more costly to not change the head gasket. I don't think you're doing any harm to the engine unless you wait too long to fill it. Thank goodness for the low oil warning light.
