77 450SL - I would like to have some advice on changing the heater core. And please don't say "don't do it yourself". I don't have a MB repairshop within 250 miles. And, part of the fun it to get dirty right?
So, where is it, can the cores be rebuilt by a rad shop, and are there any absolute "DON'T DO'S". Any advice is welcome, Saterday is the big day. Mike 77 450 SL 87 560 SEC |

It will take you MANY Saturdays to do this. you will have to take out the heater box. OH yeah, the whole dash and center console has to come out first. If this isn't your daily driver, you are OK. I'd buy a good, new aftermarket one or a new OE. Don't fix yours. What if you have to do it again?
I think the OE part is about 200.00 or so. You could buy one from us at the partsshop if needed. We can send it right to your door.
