300e Fuel Pump Relay Fuse
1990 300E
I know the location of fuel pump relay. On top of the relay there is a 10A fuse flused to the body of the relay. How do I remove the fuse to check if it is burnt or not? THe car won't start. I added few ounces of gas on to carbureter or air intake. The car started and ran more 45 minutes till I turn-off the engine. In this way, I believe the ignition system is working. I thought that it may that residual pressure is not maintained once the care is turned off. Therefore, I replaced fuel accumulator, but the problem still exists. I am ruling fuel filter, because the car once started runs without any hic-cups. Your help will be greatly appreciated |

That is the wrong relay. The OVP (Over Voltage Protection) relay is the one with the fuse on the top.

300E FUEL PUMP RELAY
1990 300E
CSNOW, I assume OVP relay is for the fuel pumps? Correct? So, how do you remove the fuse to check if it is burnt or not? Thanks |

No, fuel pump relay is a different beast nearby.
Looks like this: Jump pins 7 & 8 to emulate relay on. If that works, relay is defective. If you do want to check (or change) OVP fuse, the easiest way is to pull the entire relay out for close examination.

FUEL PUMP RELAY 300E

My car does not have that relay. It has MAS (kilma) relay also used for fuel pumps besides AC. Where are the pins to jump &which ones? |
