Differences in Getrag 265's

As I understand it, the 190e 16v uses the Getrag 265, as do some 80's-90's BMW's and Jaguars.

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to compare the MB version vs. the BMW/Jag version, as far as exterior dimensions, mounting points, or shift linkages.

I'm also wondering what the differences are between the bellhousings available (such as bolt locations, locations for any sensors, different types of sensors used, etc.) and if a MB bellhousing can be used on a tranny from a BMW/Jag.

I'm looking into going auto>manual on my 190e 2.6 and I want to see if anyone can tell me the how much more work would be involved in using the tranny from a BMW or Jag, compared to using the 16v tranny.

TIA
