'88 190E that's been sitting awhile

I have 190e that has been sitting for about a year and a half with out being started. Other than draining the fuel tank. is there anything else I should do to help get this thing started? I had to change the fuel pump because it woundn't work. But it still won't start. Any help would be appreciated.
