1999 CLK430 error codes

Guys,

Question for you:

My MZB (50,000 miles), is getting a intermittent "Check Engine light". A friend of mine performed diagnostics, and it comes up with codes "Fuel Trim 1 and 2". Supposedly the first question is "is my transmission running poorly?". Well, It certainly seems fine to me.

The "Check engine light" will go out after a few days. Does this sound like it could be the "Air Mass Sensor"? (also....there's only ONE AMM...right?) Is it easy to install?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Sarge
