Strut bushing tore open....:( [Pictures]

I took some pictures of this rubber bushing, thats tore open possibly because of being old and worn out. I wanted to know how much this part will cost me. I showed a mechanic, he told me it will take and hour to do one side and he'll charge $60 CDN for one hours work. But i will have to buy the part.

$38 .
Buy new , the labor is not worth using used suspension parts

i did indeed, actually a lot of other sites seem to be inserting the same data as the above site. So im looking at $100 for two new mounts (CDN of course) not including the shipping and what have you. Not bad.

Not bad at all.
Plus , with the new mounts, the car will tighten right up and handle better...

If he need an hour to do one mount, he's a veeeery slooow mechanic.
I did both of mine in less than 20 mins out in my driveway. And i had never replaced a strut mount before..

But then again.. CDN$60 isn't bad. Here in Denmark the dealership charges US$160 /hour!
