Rear VIew mirror problem!

Hi all,
My friend and I took a camping trip for the long weekend, went to hot springs, it was great!
However, while driving home throughthe Central Valley at 102 degrees the rear view mirror came unglued from the windshield!
NOw I want to help reattach it, what kind of glue do people recommend? This is for a 91 dodge caravan, by the way. Also there is still a glue spot onthe windshield, does that need to be removed first? If so, how?

Thanks!

Mirror glue

There is a special mirror glue you need to use. You can buy it in any auto parts store: Advance, Discount, Autozone, Pep Boys, wherever. They sell it in a one-mirror package. Just scrape off the old glue with a single-edge razor blade, and follow the directions to the letter. You will need some tape to hold the mirror up[ overnight.

Sometimes the glue is so strong, you will find that the mirror has taken a piece of glass with it. If this is so, reglue it to a different, completely smooth spot.

Good luck.
