I had the same prbolems when my 85 500sel hit 100 to 130k. I couldn't get out of the shop for under $900 one day my alternater went bad by a diffrent shop and my 900 bills went down to the 29.99 for the oil change. In my opion there are lots of shops that will rip you of and if they have to break something to do it they will. Are you getting it servived at the dealer?
Your car is pretty new how often do you use the a/c.
