How to remove W124 overhead light switch?

The overhead light switch in the console by the rear-view mirror (with the sunroof switch in it) in my '87 300D is working only intermittently. I think some contact cleaner will probably fix it, but how do I get the switch out without breaking it? Will it just pop out if I pry hard enough around the edges, like the seat switches in the doors?

Pull the entire dome light assembly to the right and then downward.
