Please tell me how to install front shocks and front wheel bearings, in a 1991 420 sel . My mechanic wants to charge me $573 which I guess isn't bad. But I just paid him $2567 in May for engine work!!!!!! Not afraid to do it myself.

I found the step by step procedure provided by George Stephenson here to be very accurate and detailed. I replaced the shocks on my 300 SEL following his instructions. It took me about 2 or 3 hours to replace the fronts and about the same time for replacing the rear.
