Question "new" body "new" engine

i am in the early beginings of moving my wonderful engine from my 83 300sd because of a failing body and the inability to get into a restoration shop locally.... my intentions are to put the engine into my 86 420sel.... i realize this is going to be a "bit" of a challenge and i was lookiing for any advise that i could get.... help

i failed to mention that i do intend to move the transmission as well....

That should be a bolt-in job, installing the vacuum shut-off switch on the steering lock & plumbing the fuel lines will be the hardest part & that shouldn't cause any real problem.
