The quality and engineering is just unsurpassed. In the 1930's more heads of state had Packards than Rolls Royce, and Packard built the better car. If you wanted something other than a limo a Duesenberg was the car to have. They were so far ahead of their time. In the 1930's the American auto industry made the best cars in the world.

I always loved the Tucker esp since my uncle was a Tucker Dealer -- had the sign and everything... Great cars - I saw one once ata car show and it was really cool esp. the flat six. Disc breaks, fuel injection, safety cage, roll bar, etc etc.. way ahead of even our times... Hudson -- I am not so sure about. They kind of missed the boat not having a V8 and I never really cared for their styling. Of course as a founding father of AMC I am in debt to them...

Don, if you ever go to Northern California, you should go up to Napa Valley and go to FF Coppola's winery. He has a perfectly restored Tucker there. It is unbelieveable! I'm not even a great fan of the car, but I just stood there all slack-jawed, looking at it.
The paint job is perfect.
