I like the cougar, because it's a cougar, and I like the 617, because it's a 617, but I mixing the two would be the last thing on my mind. a good one would be a new HEMI in a 116

A cougar probably outweighs a W123 or W126. So where did he gain 10mpg?

Actually I bet a cougar weighs less.....

With the right gears thirty five might be possible. Maybe about two eighty rear end ratio.

I did a little searching and found that a 67 cougar weighs in the low 3000 range with the small block, maybe a couple hundred more with the 390.
