Door and Trunk Seals for 6.3

Where is the best place to get replacement door seals and trunk seals for a 1970 300sel 6.3?

My MB dealer quoated me $185. each. Are aftermarkets just as good?

Thanks,

R

My restoration guys insist on only Benz rubber parts. Larry, the pro of pros was once handed a "fake" trunck rubber by none other that me. He looked at me and said, "what do you want me to do with this, throw it in the garbage? Larry has a certain way of getting his points over. I buy tons of stuff, MB made stuff, from an EBAY guy named bigbabo or something like that. I have always been happy with his parts, always.
You will soon learn that the cloth that goes around one rubber piece appears to not be around. Check for sources on the M100 board. I have, guys there know how to find them. Replace your window felts also. Don't mess with the twop back window rubbers. For about 10 years now, we have not been able to find new rubbers for those two windows. Just clean them.

DO NOT go with the aftermarket rubber seals for any door or window. They are poor-fitting and made of a cheaper grade of rubber. The factory rubber, though much more expensive, is the only way to go. Remember, it's only a once in 10-15 year job to replace this -- don't scrimp on it.

Your best shot to get discount factory stuff would be Caliber Motors in southern California.

Cheers,
Gerry
