1970 280s
There's some guy in my town wanting to sell a 1970 280S with 130,000 miles on it. Paint and interior look good...waiting to go for a ride, see repair records, etc...
What's a good/fair price for a car like this? And in general, how does this car "rank" alongside of other older MBs? Reliability, quality, etc... I have a 1992 300D, but don't really know much about older gassers. Thanks.

Fun to tinker with, but no resale value to speak of. Carbs can be a problem. I wouldn't pay more than a few hundred.
A 280SE (injected) is a still a money loser, but better than the 280S.
