79 230 c
Ok, I've mainly been a diesel guy. Half way thinking about a 230C. We had one 280 C 6 cylinder that we liked but it definitely used the gas. Any 230 owners? Anything specific to be aware of?

Hello,
I drove a 230C for many years. I suspect this one is a euro model also? They are great little cars, the non-emmission euro models have a simpler Stromburg carb which works well. I was impressed with the amount of power the four cylinder car had and how easy it was to work on. All kind of room around the engine under the hood. I think you could remove anything in less than a half hour including the engine! they were quite simple to work on or repair but seldome needed anything. No computers at all and even the euro heater controls were simple and logical and functional. This was also a big plus over the USA delivery W123 cars with the climate controls that became a bit unreliable after years of use. Yes I have fond memories of my 230C, northern salty winters finnaly killed the little coupe. Fuel consumption was decent also as I recall. The "classic and timeless" W123 coupe styling is easy on the eyes also.
