108/109 and 114/115 similarities

So I got into a benz without much research. I know, I'm a little young and stupid still.

I've contemplated putting mine on airbags after seeing some 108's online (loved them). However, I searched for 115's on bags and didn't like the look as much. Looks a little like an old toyota or Mazda. But these are just pictures so I couldn't really tell.

I was at the gas station yesterday and finally saw a 108. He pulled up and we waved. He parked next to me and jumped out all excited, saw his wife rolling her eyes. Haha.

Going over the cars the chassis looks really similar. I was in the next town over but he told me where his house was and said to stop by. Will do next time I'm over.

After leaving I had a though. Are these the same chassis with a different front clip? Could I acquire 108 front fenders, hood, grill, etc and put it on my 115?

I looked at some pics and these cars look the same on the doors back. I did notice a slight difference in the line between front fender and door, but just in pics.

My front fenders have a little rust, and replacing would be easier.

How cool would a 108/115 hybrid be with diesel and airbags? Years ago in California kids were taking an escalade front clip and putting it on their chevy trucks, not my thing but looked good.
