240D auto torque conv bearing? Pump?
I pulled the converter off of my auto trans and a thin metal shell dropped off the end. Looks possibly like a bearing race. Part is still inside converter. Looking to hear from someone who's been inside.

thanks, I see ém. It's been so long since I've had to do anything on my MB except adjust valves and change filters/fluids. My sig line is way wrong, almost all of thos cars and bikes have changed, and we moved to central FL.
Mrs wanted a different 240D, one with a/c and auto so I bought one with a bad engine. Brings us here. Now I'm in the zone of 'used engine or rebuild this one'? It's literally pouring oil out the rear seal (steady pour, not drip, when running). Separated engine/trans and some previous owner had removed upper pan, put gray sealant all around rear seal, and the rear soft plug, but the leak is out of seal. Figger if they goobered that who knows what else they did...hoping to save the trans tho.
